Inclusion Consulting

As every community seeks to better understand the needs of its Gay, Lesbian, Bi & Transgender (GLBT) members, JQ International is there to provide case-by-case consulting, training, and programs kits to assist in GLBT inclusion efforts. Our goal is to ensure a safe and integrated space for GLBT Jews in all Jewish communities.

JQ International and Keshet have partnered to bring the most up-to-date and refined GLBT inclusion and Safe School Training programs to the greater Los Angeles area.

Keshet's Shalem Education Project is at the core of JQ and Keshet's affiliated partnership, which provides intensive peer support to a cohort of Jewish educators and lay leaders. In addition, facilitator training and technical support networks are available to participating institutions. Another resource for facilitating dialogue and change, Hineini: Coming Out in a Jewish High School, is a one hour documentary film and supportive curriculum guide appropriate for grades 7-12 and the educators that serve them.

GLBT inclusion consulting, training and programming utilize three main strategies:

• Understanding GLBT identities and their unique needs
• Creating environments that promote healthy and positive participation
• Building proactive educational opportunities within heteronormative organizational cultures

Our GLBT inclusion and Safe School Training program is custom tailored for the needs of each institution to suit its unique needs.
